Starting from basic understanding of Blog, I will take you to a full journey of importance of blog and how you can convert this blog concept into your Business Blog.

At early day of web pages, grey backgrounds, black text, blue link with images, sound animated graphics, and bits of video, the web were essentially static. Even with upcoming database that enables ‘dynamic sites’ which separate the content  from the code, the content will only changed when someone got around updating it. Hand-production of each web page was really a hassle as you need to hire web designers and it takes time to even create pages after pages. Many companies will buy CMSs (Content Management System) so their staff or members can add or edit the pages. The downside to this is it is expensive and difficult to learn and it’s not convenient for individuals and smaller businesses.

With the era of blogging software and services now, it easy to create pages after pages without HTML web knowledge. Quick, easy and very inexpensive.

You might say, isn.t blogs are for people about their cats and family vacations? Not anymore.

Many businesses and other organizations have recently discovered that blogging can help them reach their external and internal communication goal. It became a whole new set of of objectives and concerns, dramatically in purpose, focus and feature offerings.

Business blog is about your business in general, works like a brochure site, with news announcements and other fresh content. Promotion of item or service and branding makes it all possible now for individual to be in control of their shop without the need of hiring someone else to do it for you.

As blogging matures and business models emerge, you’ll find more bloggers quitting their day jobs to blog full-time.

As you can see, many business blogs cross over multiple categories and change over time as business and audience needs evolve. By now you should have a clear idea, what blogs are and how businesses uses them.

The major question is, ‘why it matters to you and your business’

We will discuss this is in day 2. Stay tune and subscribe to newsletter so you will not miss it.
