Day 3 – Determining your Business Blog focus

Dozens of entrepreneurs and companies I have talked to and worked with for the last few weeks have developed a myriad strategies and tactics in using the blog medium. But they’ve all had one thing in common: results.

One of the most beautiful things about blogs is that they don’t require a massive Web design project. They’re small, nimble and simply structured so you can start your blog in a matter of hours and all you need to concentrate is your strategy for results.

Now the question here is, how can your company enable the right blog(s), the right way?

No two blogs are exactly alike. Each one has its own personality, audience and reason for being. To make your effort and money count, it’s critical you survey the the possibilities and select the right direction for you and your team.

Broken down into 3 primary categories:

1. Marketing – focused blogs are designed to build traffic , awareness and sales.

2. Public relations – focused blogs enhance image and influence public perception.

3. Customer service – focused blogs assist and inform customers or potential customers.

Marketing Focus is very important. Taking care of customers is a good business. It’s been well documented that one of the best resources a business has for driving future sales is their current customer base.
